Project Scope
Due to the close proximity of the Chattahoochee River, less than half of the 6+ acre site could be disturbed when constructing the new building. Interstate I-75 also borders the project site. Extensive storm water management procedures and measurements were required along with NPDES monitoring throughout the duration of the project. These requirements made the extensive excavation operation a challenge and confined the site with limited laydown areas and staging options. The project also includes a large 50,000 cf detention vault beneath the structure to manage the storm water run-off into the river from the surrounding area.
In close proximity to the new Atlanta Braves Stadium, this Corporate Headquarters for HD Supply was developed and managed by Greenstone Properties. Shell McElroy was responsible for the complex core and shell building operation and worked closely with MEP trades in a design/build format to implement the building systems.
